What I've Been Doing...

How do I look?
June has been a crazy month!  There's been so many times I've thought, "I need to update my blog!"  Then time slips by, and well.....you know how it goes!  So instead of trying to tell you about everything that's been happening, I thought I'd show you!
Missions Conference was June 12-15.  We did a play about Jonathan Goforth, Missionary to China.  One of the parts Matt had required a beard, so I made a yarn beard.  After the play, Ian begged me to let him try it on!

My friend Elena, who is Deaf, made this map of China for our play. I copied the images that are on the map, and glued them on, but she did all the rest.  She also painted this picture of the Chinese temple!  She is so talented!  I have two paintings in my house that she painted - I'll put them on here some time so you can enjoy them with me!

Sharing Morocco with others
While we were preparing for the play, we were also preparing for the International Banquet!  The banquet was on Saturday of the conference.  We had the privilege of representing Morocco for the banquet.  So for a while, my house was a mixture of Chinese and Moroccan culture!

Before Missions Conference Elena and I started a project of making "Witnessing Books" for the Deaf to use.  She already had a book.  We made
copies and now were are in the process of covering them with contact paper and putting them onto rings.  So now we are back to work on that project.
Making Witnessing Books
In the middle of all this, we have made certain to have time for fun, and of course time for coffee and chocolate!  My honey certainly knows how to win my heart (as if he didn't have it already)!  He recently bought me the coffee cup in the last picture.  Most girls swoon over roses....I swoon over coffee cups!  What a sweetie!  I love him SO much (and not just because of the coffee and chocolate, either)!!!
Ahoy there, Mateys!!

Chocolate, anyone???
Two of my favorite things -
